WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAMEMy husband and I like to travel, but I don’t mean big fancy trips. We get in the car, hit the highway and see where we end up. Our adventures have led us to many interesting places. Why do we do this? We like looking at the different scenery and we enjoy seeing the many different types of architecture, but most of all, the people we meet enlighten and educate us.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that a “Haystack” was basically a “Taco Plate” without the tortillas. There were homemade pies AND homemade ice cream for dessert! The auction items were the typical items you see at similar community events. Local businesses, parents, and grandparents donating items for the sale. The baked goods and hand stitched quilts bringing premium prices. While our cultures are vastly different, this event was like the many fundraising functions our school's sponsor. The only difference between us on this night was our attire.
