There's a real sense of pride and accomplishment when our homes and bodies get a healthy dose of Spring Cleaning. While the fresh air is circulating through the house from the open doors and windows, we automatically feel energized and ready to tackle those long overdue projects like deep cleaning every room, wiping down walls, cleaning out closets, and replacing anything drab and dreary, worn and weathered, or just unhealthy to our environment. So put on your hat, crank up the music, and focus on the tasks at hand.
I've heard a good rule of thumb for cleaning out our closets is that if we haven't worn it in six months, we probably won't again and should just get rid of it now. Of course, if you are one who tends to fluctuate in your waistline, consider what is actually needed to hang onto. But if you feel confident enough to discard of items, then carefully consider what may still have some use or value to someone less fortunate who doesn't have the luxury of cleaning out a closet annually. There are plenty of community venues out there who will greatly appreciate donations of clean, gently worn clothes and footwear to distribute to those in need. May you be successful in the Spring cleaning of your home, body, and spirit!
