Wintersville Post Office Building Getting a Major UpgradeThe building located at 201 Luray Drive has not had a major upgrade since its construction in 1973.
The 12,000 square foot second level was not handicap accessible limiting the viability for businesses to take advantage of the space. DeCaria Brothers Rentals in conjunction with Cedar One Realty Property Management developed a plan to change that. Hiring Steel Valley Contracting and Maintenance as the general contractor to oversee the extensive project, plans were underway to install an elevator. Joe Luckino, the owner of Cedar One and Steel Valley, stated that “By making this second-floor handicap accessible, it will open it up too many more possibilities and attract more business. We are thrilled to be a part of the project and to manage this building.” Many local sub-contractors were used in the completion of this important project: Kayafas Architects Inc., owner Constantine “Gus” Kayafas, Vicon Construction, owner Mike Vitello, TS Electric owner Ed Wickham, Campion Pipe Fitting, owner Tom Campion. The national company Otis Elevator installed the elevator. In addition to the elevator installation, the parking lot has been completely stripped and re-sealed. With this property’s location minutes away from State Route 22, the leasable potential is tremendous. The owners are willing to subdivide the space starting with 500 square foot units.
