The Cedar One Group & Friends play in Kickball Tournament!

by Marketing Department

Our Cedar One Group & Friends team had SUCH a great time playing kickball and it was even better that it was for such a great cause!

Thank you to the Ohio Valley Health Center for all you do for our community and we look forward to next year!

A fundraiser was held in Belleview Park today in an effort to provide free healthcare to Ohio Valley residents.

The fourth annual "Kickin' It for Ohio Valley Health Center" kickball tournament featured eight co-ed teams in a double-elimination-style bracket. The cost was two hundred dollars per team and included awards for the winning team and best uniform. Raffles and concessions were also offered at the event, which organizers say was born out of necessity during COVID.

"When we started the kickball, it was a response to COVID, and we wanted to find a fundraiser that we could do outside so that people would feel safe. And we wanted to reach out to the younger generations so that they would also have an opportunity to learn about the health center. So really, it was a positive thing that came out of COVID," said Ann Quillen.

According to organizers, the event is expected to raise about 13 thousand dollars for the health center. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards operating the health center."
